INTRODUCTION
Mulonga Empowerment Organization was first called Oasis informal, which was formed in the month of September 2018. The group later changed its name from Oasis Empowerment Team to Mulonga Empowerment Organization during the registration process where it was discovered that another organization was using the same name. The term “Mulonga” is a Bemba word (local language) for river or stream. The Organization (Six board of directors) is a team of educated, dynamic and like-minded men and women from different work backgrounds that have a burden to help vulnerable adolescents and young people as well as older women (the marginalized) in the area of education and their well-being. The Organization is independent as well as nonprofit making, registered under nongovernmental act no 16 of 2009 of the republic of Zambia.

Engagement of adolescents, young people and women on the importance of education.
Building of a school and skills training center.
Introduction of tree planting and sanitation activities to reduce climate negative impact.
Donating fertilizers, clothes and gift boxes to the vulnerable groupings that are in our communities.
Conducting social welfare programs to reduce negative vices in the communities.
What we do
We help the vulnerable adolescent school drop outs return to school.
We hold talks on sexual reproductive health in schools and churches.
We also hold awareness talks on suicide, identifying the threats and triggers.
We also do sensitization on climate change, encouraging the planting of trees in our environment.
We also sensitize on the dangers of drug abuse.
We want to transform our communities one mindset at a time.
Volunteers
We work with volunteers from time to time to achieve our goals.
Our impact over the years
We have sent back to school adolescents who had dropped out of school due to financial challenges.
We have empowered a few women with tailoring skills for free. We have helped a lot of youths apply for the government skills bursary program.
We have impacted our environment by planting trees at the churches we had visited and held climate change talks at.
We have donated clothes to vulnerable communities in Lusaka.
We have held sexual reproductive health talks with sex workers in the community.
